PMI NEW ZEALAND PM DAY OF SERVICE

In November 2023, the inaugural Project Management Day of Service (PMDOS) took place at the University of Auckland, organized by a collaborative effort between the university and Volunteer Auckland. This event, held at the School of Engineering, brought together nearly 100 participants, including 30 non-profit representatives, 60 consultants, 10 postgraduate students from Auckland University, and a team of expert coaches. Throughout the day, these diverse teams collaborated on 14 initiatives aimed at supporting non-profit organizations across Tamaki Makaurau.

At the conclusion of the event, attendees had the opportunity to share their experiences, present roadmaps for development, and discuss next steps for the non-profits involved. Looking ahead to November 2024, organizers anticipate an even larger PMDOS event, once again partnering with the University of Auckland and expanding to accommodate more non-profits. Gratitude was expressed to key partners and sponsors, including Volunteer Auckland, the University of Auckland, PM Training School, Inspira Project Management, and PM4Change in Washington, D.C.
