Privacy Policy

Project Management for Change, also known as PM4Change, (“we” “us” or “our”) values your private information and understands the need for security and trust surrounding such information. We are committed to protecting your privacy, and this privacy policy (“Policy”) is intended to describe our information collection and dissemination practices in connection with PM4Change family of websites located at https://www.pm4change.org/ or any website or service that links to or refers to this Policy (collectively, the “Sites”).

Please review the entire Policy and feel free to contact us using the contact information below if you have any questions. By using the Sites, you agree with the collection, use, and disclosure of your information in accordance with the Policy.

1.    How we collect personal information

When you access the Website, the Website will learn certain information about you during your visit.

Information provided by you. The Website provides different places for users to provide information. We collect information that users provide by filling out forms on the Website, communicating with us via contact forms, responding to surveys and other activities. For instance, to receive your PM4Change emails, we require your email address. Similarly, to provide you with text messaging services, we need your phone number and your provider information. So that we may provide you with additional services, we may also request your name, geographical coordinates, and phone number.

The information we collect automatically is used for statistical data and will not include personal information. We use this data to improve our Website and our service offerings. To the extent that you voluntarily provide personal information to us, our systems will associate the automatically collected information with your personal information.

2.    What information we do not collect and track

We do not collect any personal information unless you voluntarily provide it. Our definition of personal data is based on the privacy laws and regulations of the EU, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). These are widely regarded as the strongest privacy protections in the world. We consider any information about you or your behavior that can be traced back to you as personal data.

Specifically, PM4Change does not collect any other personally identifiable information that you do not expressly provide. PM4Change will never sell, rent, or share your personal information, including your email address, with any third parties for marketing purposes without your express permission. In addition, PM4Change does not record your IP address. The only exception is for automated search requests (robots) that rapidly submit more queries to our servers than any normal human would. When our software detects potential abuse, we register and block the offending IP address in order to keep our service safe.

3.    How we use personal information

We generally use the information we collect online to:

3.1.     Use for targeted messages for volunteer opportunities;
3.2.     Improve the Websites;
3.3.    Send you volunteer-related materials from us;
3.4.     Analyze the use of the Sites and user data to understand and improve the Sites;
3.5.     Customize the content you see when you use the Sites;
3.6.     Evaluate your application for a position of employment at PM4Change;
3.7.     Prevent potentially prohibited or illegal activities and otherwise in accordance with our Terms and Conditions; and
3.8.     For any other purposes disclosed to you at the time we collect your information or pursuant to your consent.

4.    How we share personal information

We are dedicated to keeping your trust, and we prefer you to recognize when and with whom we may additionally share the data we collect.

Authorized third-party vendors and service providers. We may share your information with third-party vendors and service-providers that help us with specialized services, including billing, payment processing, customer service, email deployment, business analytics, marketing, advertising, performance monitoring, hosting, and data processing.  We take steps to prevent these third parties from using your information for any purpose other than the services they are providing.

Corporate affiliates. We may share your information with our corporate affiliates that are subject to this policy.

Business transfers. We may share your information in connection with a substantial corporate transaction, such as the sale of a website, a merger, consolidation, asset sale, or in the unlikely event of bankruptcy.

Legal purposes. We may disclose information to respond to subpoenas, court orders, legal process, law enforcement requests, legal claims or government inquiries, and to protect and defend the rights, interests, health, safety, and security of PM4Change, our affiliates, users, or the public.

If you access third-party services, such as Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, or Twitter, from the Sites or to share information about your experience on the Sites with others, these third-party services may be able to collect information about you, including information about your activity on the Sites, and they may notify your connections on the third-party services about your use of the Sites, in accordance with their own privacy policies.

5.    Children

We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 18 without parental consent at any case. If we learn that a child under the age of 18 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it in accordance with applicable law. Our services are not offered to those under the age of 18. Any violations will be reviewed and services cancelled.

6.    Cookies Policy

Cookies. Cookies are small pieces of text sent to your browser when you visit a site. They serve a variety of functions, like enabling us to remember certain information you provide to us as you navigate between pages on the services. We use cookies on the website and associated domains of https://www.pm4change.org/ and on PM4Change web and mobile applications for the following purposes:

7.    How to Unsubscribe

You can unsubscribe from receiving PM4Change emails at any time. You can unsubscribe by clicking on the "Unsubscribe" link in the footer of any PM4Change email and following the instructions. If we ever send you information by email concerning new products or services that you did not expressly request, the email will offer an opt out option at the bottom of the email to limit any future communications.

8.    Amendments to the policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we update the Policy, we will revise the “Effective Date” date above and post the new Privacy Policy.  We recommend that you review the Privacy Policy each time you visit the Sites to stay informed of our privacy practices.
